I have spent 2010 teaching sold out workshops on newborn photography and baby posing. I love teaching and watching people have their 'a ha!' moment during classes, and it has became apparent there was obviously a huge need for more information on this speciality. The information you will learn in this video is taken from 3+ years of practice, trial, error and more practice as I work exclusively with newborn babies in my daily photography business, photographing up to 4 newborns a week.

This video is perfect for you if you would like an introduction to newborn photography, if you need a little help perfecting the basic poses, or you’re searching for some tips and tricks to make your newborns sessions quicker, easier and more enjoyable. Of course, everyone can use a few new post processing techniques and in this video you will watch me take files from RAW to finished images in Adobe Photoshop. The best bit? My processing literally takes around 3-4 minutes per image!

- The equipment I use, from camera body and lens types to props, beanbags and blankets
- How to expose your images correctly using your camera's built in histogram
- Utilising natural light (I shoot exclusively with natural light)
- Camera settings for creamy skin and easy blanket fades
- Simple, easy poses for newborns that parents love
- Settling techniques and my approach to keeping babies as sleepy as possible in their session
- My post processing workflow, taking RAW images (straight out of the camera) to finished colour image
