Please note, I am not taking any newborn clients for the remainder of 2013 while I focus on setting up the new Luxe Boudoir sessions. You can view my boudoir over at the new website www.luxeboudoir.com.au and join me over on Facebook by clicking here.
How fabulous does Kyelie look? She's absolutely glowing and it really shows in these images. I can't wait to meet her precious bundle when she arrives!
Baby Rocco Astro most definitely has the coolest baby name I've heard in a while. 'Twas a pleasure to have this little family in my studio this morning.
Hi, my name is Rocco Astro. My mum says her pregnancy was wonderful. Our birth was the best thing to every happen in my parent's lives. I love lying on Daddy's chest to snooze, sucking on everything and exploring. But I'm not so fond of nappy changes and dressups with Mummy ;)
Back from Sydney and after a week 'holiday' - I use that term loosely! And it was so good to see baby Lily and her parents back for a baby session at 7.5 months today. Some of my clients may recognise Lily as the big canvas of a smiling baby you see as soon as you walk into the studio, and I'm happy to report, that smile is just as great 7 months later.
I think the term 'cute' and 'super, super cute' were bandied about all morning long by me.... I'm sure you can see why. Meet Lily...
Hi, my name is Lillian Grace. Our past 7 months has been a blur. My parents favourite moment so far has been all the little moments - too many to mention. I love being social, smiling and being active. But I'm not so fond of sleeping!
14 days old and slept his ENTIRE session away. This little 2.45kg babe was a dream.
Hi, my name is Lachlan. My mum describes her pregnancy as complicated but worth every minute. Our birth was all that my parents hoped for. And I love cuddles!
9 day old Hudson had other plans this morning other than sleeping through his session. We persevered though and the result is some super, super gorgeous shots!
Hi, my name is Hudson. My Mum says her pregnancy was enjoyable! She was definitely one of the lucky ones. Our birth was memorable, although Mum was asleep for most of it! I love eating, sleeping & doing #2s. But I'm not so fond of nappy changes or bath time!
Due with 2 baby girls in just a few weeks, Rachel looks absolutely amazing! Thanks for coming all the way up to Brisbane for your shoot today Rachel & Michael.
7 day old Julian was so lovely and cuddly, a big boy at 9lb 6oz! And a ton of hair to boot - all of my clients know I go a little giddy when a baby with lots of hair comes in.
Hi, my name is Julian Angelo. My mum says her pregnancy was amazing. I was always full of beans, kicking and punching. Our birth was such a beautiful experience and a surprise that I was a baby brother for my sister Gisele. I love looking at my older sister and of course, milk. But I'm not so fond of bathtime!
Hi, our names are Addison Grace & Liam Thomas. Our Mum's pregnancy was long! Even at 35.5 weeks both she and us were very ready for our arrival into the world. Our birth was amazing. And very quick according to Dad ;) We love gazing at each other in our cot and bath time with Mummy & Daddy. But we're not so fond of being woken up for a bottle.
Last week I was blessed to be asked to attend the birth of Elyssa and capture her arrival into the world. Birth photography is by far, one of the most rewarding and personal parts of my job - being able to record this momentous event for someone is something I find hard to put into words.
Anneke has so generously given her permission for the slideshow below to be shown on the blog. I must say, after a week in hospital, pretty much 2 days of pre-labour and then being induced, Anneke is Superwoman. Her husband is certainly her rock, so 'present' during her labour, so calm. (& despite his cheeky T Shirt!) It was amazing to witness him falling in love with his baby girl and being able to capture this for them.
Anyway, enough waffling on my behalf. A small note: If you find the video a little jumpy, just pause and allow it to load before pressing play. Enjoy!
