Angus was precious with a capital P this morning! So sleepy, we finished his newborn session in no time at all.

She was a tough cookie to crack I tell you. Bronwyn had tummy upsets today so sleeping was the last thing on her mind, we worked hard to get her shots and as I snapped the last frame of the shoot, she proceeded to give me a beautiful, big, grin. I couldn't resist posting this set - it lasted just 2 seconds from start to finish but it was enough to make everyone in the room just light up.

And yep, it's that time again - can you believe it? This year I'm opening up two days in October for Christmas mini sessions (Friday 22nd and Saturday 23rd) places are very limited so please book in early!

These sessions are the perfect opportunity to update the family album and purchase your Christmas presents for the grandparents. These mini sessions are priced at $500 and include a 30 minute outdoor session, 2 8x12 inch matted prints, 2 5x7 inch matted prints and 25 free personalised Christmas cards (valued at $100).

Best of all, we will be donating $50 from each Christmas Mini session toward The Mater Foundation's Precious Premmies fund. I've had quite a few little clients make an early appearance this year, and thankfully they've all made it safe and sound to their newborn session. The Mater Mother's Neonatal Critical Care Unit provides intensive specialist care to 2,000 premature and seriously ill babies each year. About 8 per cent of the 56,000 babies born each year in Queensland are premature (less than 36 weeks gestation). These days, babies born at more than 28 weeks gestation have a 95 per cent chance of surviving with little risk of major disabilities. Baby Sophie made quite the arrival - her mum & dad were caught off-guard one week before her due date while on holidays down the coast when she decided to make her entrance. A flat tire on the highway and ride in the ambulance followed, all ending in a safe delivery at hospital. It makes such a great story to tell her once she's older ;)

Her mum really wanted a basket shot, and I had just the thing - the very same basket her big cousin William was photographed in during his newborn session almost 1 year ago...

At 8 months, we could shoot for hours and still not capture all the funny little expressions that babies at this age have, there's too many to count... and I'm positive my little clients wouldn't last past an hour anyway! I often find myself giggling behind the camera when I shoot baby sessions, and Mitchell sure had the poses and cute faces to make me smile this morning.

Tiny Maddison was just a joy to photograph this morning. Snoozy and sweet, pretty much happy to do whatever we asked of her. She looks so small in my antique fruit box, they sure don't stay this little for long!

So new she still had her hospital ID bracelets on when she arrived in the studio this morning...

It's that time again, time to head to Eagle Farm Racecourse for Mathilda's Market this Saturday and stock up on gorgeous handmade items for your little one. And of course, make sure you pop by the Little Posers stand and say hello, I love meeting everyone!

Little man Eli was a intent on staying awake today - he just wanted to be asleep in his own bed, swaddled tightly I'm sure. He was a happy little guy though so I had a great morning of sweet cuddles.

Little Posers Photography is not so little anymore and we’re looking to expand!

So far, we have specialised in newborns and ages up to 1 year, and we’ve become known as the place to head to when you’re expecting that little bundle of joy. But now, those little people are starting to grow up and we would love to watch them grow, so I’m on the lookout for an associate photographer to work at Little Posers to photograph ages 18 months to 12 years.

I’m looking for someone with a great ‘eye’ and a clean fresh style. Someone who knows their camera inside and out and has a bubbly fun personality. This is not a beginner position, I need a photographer with the skills to work alone to produce beautiful, shout-from-the-rooftops photography for my clients. A photographer who wants to grow with Little Posers and be part of our exciting little brand and studio.
